Tahoe Donner Gardens Shine Brighter

Join Tahoe Donner's Newest Club!

Interested in learning more and sharing your experience as a Truckee gardener? Tahoe Donner will host us as we compare techniques, listen to local experts and visit active gardens for inspiration and education. This will be a FUN and casual way for gardeners of all levels to collaborate, celebrate or commiserate as Mother Nature intends!

Please join this NEW CLUB at the ground level to help shape its direction. The first meeting will be held Sunday, May 4th at 4 PM at the community room in the Northwoods Clubhouse. Joining virtually is also an option.

One of our first orders of business will be determining our future meeting schedule and timing. We envision meeting once a month between April and October, and occasionally and/or virtually during the winter.

Please also consider becoming active on its leadership committee - we will be recruiting these positions at the first meeting. 

1) Vice President -to serve as a backup to the President and help with membership and meetings.

2) Communications Officer -to post updates  and meeting details on this website, record minutes and help with promoting the club via various communication channels.

3) Treasurer - IF the club elects to charge dues.

Kate Fanter, a TD resident and club founder will serve as President for the first 2 year term. Kate has lived in Tahoe Donner since 2020 and is a local Real Estate Advisor. Growing up in Iowa, she has been a lifelong gardener and earned her Master Gardener Certification in 2015. She has done professional Garden Design for years and has worked in design/install and nursery sales at Grateful Gardens and Rock and Rose here in Truckee. Kate was inspired to create this club to help friends further their own garden knowledge, success and enjoyment.
