Join Tahoe Donner's Newest Club!

Interested in learning more and sharing your experience as a Truckee gardener? Tahoe Donner will host us as we compare techniques, listen to local experts and visit active gardens for inspiration and education. This will be a FUN and casual way for gardeners of all levels to collaborate, celebrate or commiserate as Mother Nature intends.

Field Trip: Slow Food Lake Tahoe's Edible Garden tour!

About the tour: 

Join our club members as we attend Slow Food Lake Tahoe's inspiring Edible Garden Tour in Truckee. "We’ll caravan together to visit a curated selection of local, high-elevation gardens that are thriving in our unique mountain climate."

Held at 4:00 pm in the Community Room in the Tahoe Donner Northwoods Clubhouse. If the weather is nice, we'll be back at the picnic tables, or the Meadow room if the weather is bad.

We envision meeting once a month between April and October, and occasionally and/or virtually during the winter.

Kate Fanter, a TD resident and club founder will serve as President for the first 2 year term. Kate has lived in Tahoe Donner since 2020 and is a local Real Estate Advisor. Growing up in Iowa, she has been a lifelong gardener and earned her Master Gardener Certification in 2015. She has done professional Garden Design for years and has worked in design/install and nursery sales at Grateful Gardens and Rock and Rose here in Truckee. Kate was inspired to create this club to help friends further their own garden knowledge, success and enjoyment.
